AJHingel 127 Posted February 21, 2006 Wiktor, this is indeed a very beautiful picture and I'm happy that no-one seem to have asked to introduce in the scene some animation in the forms of dogs, pedestrians and the like !! For me that is the best indicator telling that you have managed to find the right tones and composition to communicate. I do not really agree on a problem with the lower right corner as Ralf mention it. On my screen that part is far from being black. I don't see the problem Esther is mentioning either concerning the light. In my eyes this photo is very near a 7 in aesthetics. Anders Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 21, 2006 This is a beautiful picture. You captured fog and silence. Just the right amount of light and the angle is great. Link to comment
rafal-ralph-lisak 0 Posted February 22, 2006 Hi Anders, Obviously, what one sees is pretty much dependent on the monitor being used. When I look at this photo on my monitor at home (color calibrated, etc) I definitely see a fairly dark area with rather little detail. After your comment, I looked at this piture once again on my monitor at work, which is way too bright (I use privacy filter on it) and I immediately understood what you meant. The dark area was gone. Who's right here? Hard to tell. This is an inherent problem of viewing photos on the computer screen. The fact that I use calibrated monitor gives me a bit of peace of mind but I also understand that it's rather an exception than the rule. Anyhow, as I mentioned before, I think that this is a very good picture. I regard it very highly. All the best. Ralph Link to comment
wim.ipenburg 0 Posted February 22, 2006 Real fine foggy / misty image. Your composition is well choosen. The lantarn in front is great in contrast of the rest. Link to comment
