farmer on the hill 0 Posted February 18, 2006 Is that the real background? Good shot. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 19, 2006 Thanks, guys. Yep, background is "real", if you consider green fake backgrounds "real". Here's a distance shot so you can see it. Bear in mind, I was at a different angle with the posted shot. Link to comment
kbridgman 0 Posted February 19, 2006 Wow! We see a lot of close up nature shots, but few are as well done as this one! Great angle...wonderful blend of color...dramtic and bold...and a little scary! Link to comment
j._knight 0 Posted February 19, 2006 excellent, excellent, excellent, tremendous lighting, tremendous expression, just a very nice shot! Link to comment
ejharris 0 Posted February 19, 2006 As the title suggests, great colors and textures. The only critique that I have is regarding the halo of lighter green and grain around the head. This may be an artifact of resizing the image for the internet. Besides that, this is a great image. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 19, 2006 Yep, I see what you're seeing, Ed. Not as apparent on the larger size and not apparent at all on my print copy. Weird. Link to comment
copcu 0 Posted February 19, 2006 The harmony of the green and the sharpness of this picture is beautiful, congrats. Link to comment

bille 0 Posted February 19, 2006 Great shot, Kim. Love the colour and the texture and also the shallow DOF. However, I ask myself if it would have been better with the eye in focus instead? Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted February 19, 2006 Thanks, everyone. I'm surprised at the response to this one. I like it, but didn't think lizard shots would appeal this much. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted February 20, 2006 But this isn't just a lizard shot. He looks almost human. It's like there's a true expression on his face, lending to the idea of emotion. I love the green background. Wonderful work, Kim! Link to comment
