axel-cordes 0 Posted February 18, 2006 How did you manage the lightning? I'm currently also trying to gab some good images of our "Maxima" 4 month. As I don't want to flash her into the eyes and I do not own a realy light system (should be on the shopping list I know) this is the most challange for me. Link to comment
jasonwilliamsphotography 0 Posted February 18, 2006 I have 2 JTL lights that are about 45-60 degrees off center of Spencer. The light on Spencer's left has a silver umbrella and the one on the right has a white umbrella. I was bouncing the light off the umbrellas, I have since been informed it would be better to shot through a white umbrellla. The lights were set at about eye level, almost perfectly horizontal. I had my flash facing backwards at a 45 degree angle, bouncing it off the ceiling... I didn't get my lights that long ago, but love them. I hope this helps. You can find lights used sometimes for a deal. I think I paid only 3something for mine new. With stands and umbrellas. Thanks Jayme for your feedback. Link to comment
elaine marie 0 Posted February 19, 2006 Jason,How did I miss this one? I was just looking through your portfolio and came across this most adorable shot of your little guy. I missed it on the critique forum somehow.Sooooo Cute! Good job with your new light set up. Hope to see more soon. Elaine Marie Link to comment
jasonwilliamsphotography 0 Posted February 19, 2006 Thanks Elaine, I have a few more yet in the series to come:) Link to comment
axel-cordes 0 Posted February 19, 2006 This realy helps and, yes I'll have a look to eBay. Can you pass me some details of your JTL Tools? I was already googling a lot the lights but did not come to a final "where to go". Is this light a continous light or flash controled by the camera? I think I would like a continous light. Thanks for having a ride through my portfolio. BTW: Schnucki II was done with fillflash (Metz 54MZ3)on my Canon 30 - which was working fine. Now on the 10D the fillflash isn't that good - still struggling with it. Took much more time to change from EOS 30 for 10D than I thought. Link to comment

jasonwilliamsphotography 0 Posted March 17, 2006 Biliana, this photo also has the quality lose I was talking about earlier. I dodged out all the background on the original, and this hot shows a silhouette all the way around everything, which does not show on the original, or printing. Thanks Kim and Axel for stopping by and commenting:) Axel, sorry it took so long to get back with you I couldn't find your question until after I got another comment on this shot. My memory must be going.... Link to comment
