stevespencer 0 Posted February 16, 2006 Looks like you have some very good fine detail in the subject's face and clothing. The 20D seems to (with the right lens) render noticeably finer detail (I mean readily noticeable to the naked eye at these sizes). The highlights are retained which is good. This photo works as a mysterious high contrast portrait. The tone is somber and dignified. I would like to see more detail in the darkest tones, and importantly, just a hint of light on the hair or behind the subject to separate his hair from the background. I realize this is not always possible, and maybe you just didn't intend to make it that way, so it works as it is. I also like the sepia tone here. -s Link to comment
randall paul 0 Posted February 16, 2006 yes nice shot. You do lose detail at these sizes for sure I see it all the time with my posts. But what the heck I think we get the idea of the presentation here and it is a very nice cinematic styled shot. Regards RP Link to comment
