jeff.grant 0 Posted February 14, 2006 Sean, a great start with the Pentax. The colour palette is lovely but it does look very cold. Are you enjoying wrestling with enormous files? Link to comment
seandepuydt 2 Posted February 14, 2006 LOL, Jeff my computer was brought to it's knee's. 533mB before my two little layers. It was very cold. Link to comment
r_wagner 0 Posted February 14, 2006 I would like to see the foreground slightly darker and warmer. Overall a very nice photo. Link to comment

richard van hoesel 0 Posted February 15, 2006 A spectacular entry into the world of the P67 Sean! Without any disrespect to your previous posts, it blows most of those away imho. I wouldn't touch a thing. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 15, 2006 Sean, you should specify "view large." This is a beautiful winter shot, in which every detail works -- the fine pastels that the winter morning casts across the landscape, the dried out grasses, the frost on the fence. And you nailed the composition perfectly. Absolutely gorgeous. Link to comment
mikestacey 0 Posted February 15, 2006 Nice work Sean. I can't imagine how cold this was. We can only ever get snow on the beach in south west Tasmania, and then it's rare. I love the colour and soft light in this one, the foreground is nice and bright without the background blowing out. How are you scanning these Sean? Did you get my message re. the Nikon? seandepuydt 2 Posted February 15, 2006 Mike, I had this drum scanned. I wanted to get an idea of what a file would look like. And yes, I did get the message regarding the Nikon. I'm looking at some used scanners right now. I'll stay with Nikon. Thanks to everyone for commenting on this image. I really appreciate all of the feedback! - Sean Link to comment

WJT 634 Posted February 17, 2006 to you too Sean! I agree with everyone, this is a great start with the 6x7. I understand about those file sizes, but look at the result. This format is well worth the extra effort, cost, and time needed; your actual prints will be be breathtaking.Nice technique with the grad filter my friend. Regards. Link to comment
