kahkityoong 0 Posted February 14, 2006 A different kind of shot for me. Taken just before tea ceremony in a teahouse. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 16, 2006 I'd like to see more of this type from you. Everything works for me in this picture. The tones, the shapes and your composition of it all. Very nice. And almost for the, excellent usage of a shallow depth of field and repetitive shapes. Link to comment
kahkityoong 0 Posted February 17, 2006 Thank you for your encouragement Bond. As the technical aspects of photography have improved during the year I have now been shooting, I am more likely to try different things. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 17, 2006 I just read the original comment..and it doesn't quite make sense, lol. Anyways, the fact that you've just been shooting for a year in itself is amazing. And yes, you're photographical skills, not just technical have improved dramatically. Keep trying new things and different subjects and you'll continue to improve. This image is a great example. Very simple and effective. I think what I was referring to in the above comment, "and almost except for the...." was the red band on the background teapot. I was probably going to say..except for the red band this is pretty much perfect. Maybe if that entire band was visible rather than joining into the foreground pot? Very good either way. Cheers. kahkityoong 0 Posted February 19, 2006 Thanks for clarifying your initial critique. I must say neither myself or Winnie noted the red string as being should have turned it around to hide it behind the front teapot. Link to comment
