Frost Loch Ard

ian cameron

Another shot in my subdued colour portfolio this time from gorgeous Loch Ard near Aberfoyle, Scotland. Loch Ard has some wonderful boat sheds but on this occasion I was mightily impressed with the subdued colours and absolute still quiet courtesy of a heavy winter frost. Please take a look at some new images recently uploaded to Transient Light and Timecatcher.

Another shot featuring the subdued colours that winter brings

courtesy of a good hoar frost. Loch Ard, Aberfoyle, Scotland.

Very nice natural colors. The hoarfrost conveys enough interest in the foreground, well composed landscape. Great mirror-like reflections.

Beautiful image, excellent reflections and good depth of field. The foreground draws the eye nicely to the jetty and from there into the centre of the shot. Well done.

Lovely. The frost provides both foreground interest and sets a mood. Love the way the two lines of trees and their reflection converge in the brightness at the end of the loch. There is much here for the eye to roam over and enjoy.

This photo has excellent range of contrast from gently soft to high impact. All this without loss of detail. Looks great there but I think I will stay here it is a lot warmer.
