root 0 Posted February 11, 2006 A recent building reflection. Open to suggestions for a title . . . . Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted February 12, 2006 I would suggest using something that incorporates "variations," as in the "Goldberg variations" or the various "Variations on a Theme" by Paganini. I find windows 3-3, 4-1, and 5-3, and to some extent 6-1, most interesting in terms of said variation. As has been said with your other glass reflection shots, the immediate chaos that is balanced by an underlying, rigid structure is quite interesting. Link to comment
root 0 Posted February 12, 2006 Unlike some of the other series, I don't see each cell as being sufficiently similar to see them as variations, especially given the different characteristics of the middle row compared to the top and bottom. Beyond the A-B-A form implied by the rows, the idea of breaking the image down further into eighteen different pictures is very much the point, as you have noted. Maybe "Eighteen pictures" or "A-B-A" would suffice. Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted February 14, 2006 "A-B-A" has a certain poetic appeal, don't you think? You could even name these by way of canto. Link to comment
richard van hoesel 0 Posted February 15, 2006 Maybe "18 conversations"? I see a lot of picasso-esque mouthing, although [1,6] looks intruigingly different with a hint of klimt-like eroticism instead, so perhaps only "17 conversations and a nude"... Link to comment
