audah 0 Posted February 10, 2006 This is the sepia blue version of 'The Gardener' (Tribute to Monsieur René Magritte) which I've submitted sometime ago. I think the sepia version gives different atmosphere than the colour version...maybe it's just me! LOL! Have a nice weekend! Regards, Abdul Link to comment
dida futi 0 Posted February 10, 2006 Excellllent. Mysterious lit and contrast with very original composition. I miss only harder grain, but its personal feelnig. 6/7 r. Link to comment
gdw 0 Posted February 10, 2006 I immediately recognized this image, which indicates that the original image made a very strong impression. The design and absurdity of this image is so strong that it will grab attention regardless. However, I do not think that a monochrome can come anyway near the impact of the color version. You are correct that the feel is different in this image. In the mono you have to look harder for the details that do not separate easily. That does to some extent intensifies the mystery of the image and may bring the viewer into the image more. However, I do not believe it will have that same the lasting impression that the color version did. Link to comment
