Jack McRitchie 150 Posted February 8, 2006 Yeah. Real good shot. A bit of a departure for you I think. This picture is full of potential energy. It's a pose we know she can't maintain a second longer. Delightful, this picture doesn't just sit there and invite your admiration. It engages your mind by balancing right on the knife edge between rest and movement. Of course, it really wouldn't work as well if you didn't have the technical aspects under control, but as we all know, you've got that covered pretty well. One of your most creative (and to my mind, successful) pictures. Link to comment

oyvind1 0 Posted February 26, 2006 I like the weightlessness (is that word?) of this image. The way she seems to drift in space. Perfect timing! I also like that it is shot "on location" and not in a typical studio. This strengthen the realistic feel of the picture. Very good work! Cheers! Oyvind Link to comment
johnv 1 Posted March 21, 2006 Great dynamic photo! I like the way she is standing on her toes and yet she is not just doing that but she is in a motion that will take her several steps to her right (this is not certain and adds tension). If her feet had been off the ground the shot would not have been as interesting as it is, I think. She is standing and she is not standing. I kind of like the slightly shaky camera or the lack of sharpness and the very simple framing (I guess some would think there is too much wall and floor in there) where you can see a lot of the room. She is moving towards the window as if to fly away but she won't. I think this framing puts the photo in the street genre and therefore does not depart that much from many of your other photos. Great shot! Link to comment
anndra 0 Posted May 3, 2006 I adore this shot. There's a curiously seductive balance struck between tension - is she falling? - and grace - looks like a dancer of sorts moving fluidly to another shape. I also admire the additional contrast of the modern woman and the slightly aged and seen-better-days room in which this was shot. Black and white was a beautiful choice to present the work, too. :: applause:: Link to comment
