Named "The Hector", It was restored to working order. Then not too long after restoration it sank in a storm. The Ship was brough up and has been restored a second time and continues to sail to this day.

I took this picture when I was in Pictou. The ship is called "The

Hector". I think the picture turned out quite well, but I'm wondering

what you think. Good?, Bad?, and ways it could be improved or what you

would do differently. Thanks.

Hi Dana, I really like it. It has a soft feel to it (which is a good thing!) I wonder though if the scan left you with no true blacks. I haven't looked at a histogram of this one, but it strikes me that you could bring some more contrast in, particularly by making the blacks blacker and still have a fantastic shot.

Hmmm.. after seeing the version with more blacks, I'm not sure I like it better. The original looks more "misty" and I like that effect. What do you think?
