judibrenstein 0 Posted December 31, 2001 A great shot. Crystal clear - makes me feel like I'm right there. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 1, 2002 Luscious colors. I would dearly love to see this image in TIFF off a high-end negative scanner. The detail you caught off the railing's spikes impresses me as well. I assume this was shot off a tripod sometime after dusk. Did you need to compensate for reciprocity failure, and if so how much? Link to comment
tony_storey 0 Posted January 1, 2002 Thanks for the comments guys. Tris- yes on a tripod, with the exposure I'd say it was around 12 seconds @ F/5.6 using 100 ASA. With a nice well light subject like this I shoot between 12 to 20 seconds with F/5.6, F/8 and F/11 and I normally get ok results. High end scanner would be the biz, I'm getting good results from the Canon which surprised me as it is only a flatbed scanner!! Link to comment
jack_skoch 0 Posted January 4, 2002 great shot, and the good lod f3 hp. i own one too and it is my favorites.. Link to comment
elaine_roberts1 0 Posted January 6, 2002 This is gorgeous. The wide angle distortion on the left disturbs me a lot more than on the right for some reason, just a trick of the eye perhaps. I'd like to see a bit more of the railing in the front, but that's a minor suggestion and it is beautiful overall, lovely color. Link to comment
wojtek_rychlik 0 Posted October 30, 2003 This is a great night shot! I would correct it for lens distortion, something like that small image above. Link to comment
