will king 0 Posted February 5, 2006 I really like the low perspective on this shot. Is this a toy truck or the real thing? Link to comment
lupine 0 Posted February 5, 2006 Hi Will: It's the real deal! It was parked some distance off. I did throw the background out of focus in Photoshop as my equipment at the time didn't afford me the luxury of a long lens. Good news, they were able to save the house! Thanks for the kind words... Guest Guest Posted February 5, 2006 Very impressive composition, theme, and colors. I think the super-saturated colors are unnecessary, though -- the hose and truck are already colorful enough. Also, it would be better if we could see the entire truck, including the top of the emergency lights. The spray from the hose is great, and the reflective surface of the wet pavement is a big plus. I also especially like the contribution of the traffic cones to the composition. Link to comment
lupine 0 Posted February 6, 2006 Thanks, everyone! I'll have to check my original image file and see what room I have above the truck and what the "normal" shot looks like. The "harsh" colors were part of a first responder series that are sold as "stock" photographs. With regard to the cones: It's interesting that it caught your eye, Chris. There was only one, I repeated the cones to make the back ground a bit more interesting. Thanks one and all for taking the time to comment. Link to comment
