Well done, PT!

The first entry into this new folder looks to be a splendid interpretation of the theme, imo...

This is what I would have changed before upload.

Ah yes, good old snow... Theme fit ok, all round a nice photo. I prefer the colour version, agree on removing the top RH thingy (tree?), also maybe a teeny bit more exposure on the face. Well done. Looks like very deep snow!

Well done for me too, PT.

I would go for Peter's crop, clone out the tree thingy indeed and keep it in color.

Regards,

Tom

Very good interpretation, PT; one needs to be centred in self to accomplish anything well, and it's especially important in our more dangerous pursuits.

I too would clone out the dark bits TR; colour I like but I'm sure you could increase the exposure in levels/ curves to give it a touch more pop. Comp is good : you've left space for this intrepid soul to enter.

Well done.

I think Peter's cropp is great, but as others said, I would keep in color. Great shot, not only fits the assignment but it is interesting as well. Alas not very much to add.

Hehe...

I actually cropped only a tiny portion off the RH edge, because I really enjoy the placement of the main subject in this capture.

About 24 hours ago, I claimed that my version showed no crop at all. This was incorrect...

Rather than cropping out the (alleged) distracting features in the top right corner, I used a combination of clone tool and healing brush, to get rid of it. Despite the majority of PT's preference for the colour version, I will stand by my choice for B&W. It gets rid of the blue cast in the snow.
