Excellent shoot , Very powerful

Sweet! Beautiful range, great sharpness, great composition, beautiful smooth texture, controlled edges with no significant distractions near the edges of the picture.

 

Only an extremely small change I would make, in the upper right corner there are, oh, four or five very small dark dots that look like injudicious photoshop brush strokes, I'd like to see these blended or removed.

 

Otherwise, perfection! Definitely my type of picture!

There was no photoshop brushing but I think I know which you were talking about so I cropped it a little. Let me know if I cropped the right area.

Leilani, wow I can't believe I found someone from Guam on this site. I used to live there 20 years ago. My father was in the Air Force at the time and we lived in Anderson South, a small off base housing area for Anderson AFB. What a small world. Guam is absolutely beautiful. I wish I was into photography back then. This shot is great by the way. Love the dramatic tones. I'm going to have to check out the rest of your portfolio to see if I recognize any places you've shot. It's probably too much of a coincidence but I went to middle school with a Leilani in Guam. FBLG Middle School.

A stunning image -- what beautiful light. I'm wondering what a slightly brighter version would look like, though. I think the left side is a bit too dark, for example.

One for on my wall! Excellent! Comments about the use of contrast are futile, not necesarry and above all your photo explains why. I love the way, time and again, my eye is drawn from the comments towards the photo. Its THAT atractive! 7/7

First, thanks for commenting one of mine a while back!

I find your photo powerful with what feels like a dynamic variation of ominous and bright atmospheres, and not only in the technical sense. A great sense of depth and the fragmented composition together counterbalance very nicely the almost overpowering dynamics of exposure. Maybe I'd try cropping a bit of the top, or then not.

Leilani - a stunning image with great dramatic quality. A pity highlight in the sky is blown but the rest of the image is very good indeed.
