lgoodwin 0 Posted February 3, 2006 I was fortunate to be driving to work just as the sun was rising over the Potomac. (Also fortunate to have my camera bag in the back of my car.} There were lots of rowers on the Potomac that morning; I only had to wait a few minutes for one to come in view. The photo is unmanipulated except for the removal of some automobiles that were faintly visible through the fog in the background. Link to comment

doug bowles 0 Posted February 3, 2006 This is Dante-esque. It looks like the sculler is rowing out of the maw of a blast furnace. Impressive capture! Link to comment
naomi a. 0 Posted February 3, 2006 I think of a conqueror when I see this picture...out of the fog and dampness into the warmth and sunshine....beautiful contrast! Link to comment
tjroberts 0 Posted February 4, 2006 Lee, great timing, nice capture. An admirabable excuse for showing up late to work. Link to comment
billfoster 0 Posted February 4, 2006 Just great, Lee. When I saw this on the thumbnail, I thought, ah ... it's just another boring bridge shot. However, when one sees the large version ... wow. You caught a great moment here and exposed it perfectly. This is just beautiful. Link to comment
root 0 Posted February 4, 2006 Well done, Lee. Beautiful light, yet it didn't burn off the fog. I think I remember that morning, and the window of opportunity was pretty short. Link to comment
thierrylaflamme 0 Posted February 5, 2006 Beautiful! I wouldn't be shy at all to hang a picture like this one on my wall. Link to comment
kate_hatton 0 Posted February 6, 2006 I think this is quite the finest bridge shot I've ever seen. What makes it really special is how it disappears into the fog - what stories it conjures up about where this bridge leads! Link to comment
