I love everything about this photo Allen.

 

It's composition, timing and storytelling characteristics to me are indicative of truely insightful timing and intuitive photographic experience.

 

The dog is expertly framed by the bench and the two sets of legs. There's the two similar but distinctly different types of footware, the texture of the pavers, the shadows on the legs and jeans and the light on the dog all work to keep the viewers interest long enough to invite reflection on the relationship that exists between the three of them--a reflection on life--beautiful.

I love how this photo captures life from the little dog's point of view. And the misguided attempt at "fetch" is very cute.

This is so perfect. Ideal composition for the storyline. I like everything about it. The great thing about fetching leaves is, you can't throw them very far. Great job Allen.

Hi Allen. Great job catching this moment. For me, the photo begins and ends with the dog and the legs with red sandals. I reccomend cropping it to a vertical and seeing if you like it better. The "gesture" in the photo is in the dog's look and the balance of the ladies legs with the red sandals. I would also consider taking a look at it in black and white.
