Excellent shot. The colors and textures are beautiful. I might have cropped a little more off the right side, but that's just my personal taste. Well done.

yes, a bit off the right side might be good. Like this photo, The hard light fits perfect here, giving a kind of graphical, metallic atmosphere that i find most appealing here. Well done!

Thanks for taking time to comment. I appreciate it. I haven't done any cropping to this. Its the full frame shot. But I will experiment with taking a bit off the right hand and see how it looks.

I really love this! The little bird is a nice addition. What a great combination of colors and glitter!

Thank you Kim. I had been photographing a bunch of wild turkeys on the other side of the river. With limited success I might add. Just as I was getting ready to pack it up I saw this little fellow bathing. He was fun to watch. And I couldn't resist the color reflected on the water. :)

Hi Larry, just came back from the "end of the world"....

I like that image, the play of light and colors are interesting and very beautiful. Nearly an abstract. Pnina

Thank you Pnina. I agree, it is almost an abstract. In fact I would go so far as to say it actually is one. :)

Welcome back from the end of the world. Any pray tell just where is the end of the world? (When I was a kid I would have said it was Buckeye, Arizona but in my old age I think its probably only a runner up.)

Most of the time the thought of any more travel does little to excite me. But when I looked at your Mali photos, I could change my mind.

I love this shot for the colors : the hard lights fit great here, giving a metallic blue touch at the whole scene. It's a great shot from a great eye ! Thanks for sharing...

How is life going for you? Things are great here, except there is no work in the oilfield.

Hi Kim. I can relate to the shortage of work opportunities. I just got finished with school two weeks ago. I am attempting to reenter the workforce, but I can't say I am enjoying the search. :)

I actually had fun going to school. Turns out you can teach an old dog new tricks after all. Check out the following link. http://media.www.collegian.com/media/storage/paper864/news/2009/05/11/News/61YearOld.Student.To.Graduate.Summa.Cum.Laude.In.Second.College.Attempt-3739767.shtml.

Great article! Congratulations on finishing so well! I sure didn't get serious enough in college to even finish anything, and had no idea what I wanted to do. I wasn't a partier; just had no direction. A lot of these young kids could probably get a lot more out of it if they waited a while. Welcome back to the "real world". I hope you find a job that you love!
