Verazzano at Twilight

I took this shot of the Verrazano Bridge from the Brooklyn side

within the first few days of purchasing my Elan II . I had never

used an SLR before, only point and shoots. I consider this one of my

best photos and have only had few come out as good this one since

then (1998)... Appreciate all comments and ratings

Sorry, Tom, but the file size is too big for me to see easily, and with a non-high-speed internet pipe I literally cannot wait to download the medium size of the photo. May I suggest you limit the size of your uploads to JPEGs with a max of ~2000 pixels longer dimension?

 

The smaller thumbnail image looks stunning! It would seem that a lot came together for that photo. Great color & composition!

Helluva bridge shot Tom. Excellent. (I downloaded it and sized it to fit on my monitor). I especially like the perspective.

Nice pic Tom, keep it up and you'll have your own calander soon! But, yes the file is way too big, please reduce it to say, 600 pixels on the horizontal so others can appreciate the shot.

Thanks all for the positive feedback!! I've got a couple of more like these but I'm struggling with the compressing the sizes ( all were scanned in at 600 dpi)

To all - I have seen the shot blown up and hanging from Tom's wall. Really is a great shot

It makes it difficult to fairly view them when either too big or small.

At 2500 pixels it's way too big for my screen.

I've reduced the size, tilted the horizon and painted in a bit of sky. Hope you like it.
