Due to work commitments I will have almost no time for photography

until april :( :( So I have resubmitted this with a few alterations

to the highlights as suggested by previous critique.

Your views and advice appreciated.

Cheers.

Nice scene, fine exposure. I find the bg lights provide some context but also intrude upon the placid foreground : makes me want to board a boat a sail away to where Nature only supplies the light. Well done.

Excellent composition and color rendition Phil. Despite the calm water and the absence of any activity, your "harbour" is so ALIVE. Great job and I hope to see more of it. Regards.

Thanks both for taking the time to comment, and as usual thanks to the person with no spine that sabotages the rating with an anonymous 3/3. Sorry to keep harping on about this, but when you have people such as adam burton and marc adamus threatening to stop sharing their fantastic work with us because of the wonderful anonymous system then something is very wrong!

Regards

Phil.

Well done. By the way, I agree totally with your comments about the low raters. Some people are just vengeful, hateful, and evil. What person in their right mind would give this a 3????

Best wishes

Yinka

I never knew there was a 3/3 - I didn't click on the numbers, just took in the scene and the words.

Hey Phil, first of all great shot. I totally agree on the cowardly 3/3 crap. I get hit by those about every other photo I post. It's just sad that these cowardly trolls can't be stopped. I used to take it personally but I started seeing that almost everyone is effected by this immature tatic.

My point above is that the photographer has to go looking for the numbers the anonymous throw at his work; words, however, go in search of the photographer, signed and dated.

To click on those numbers is a conscious decision; don't do it if it pains you.
