archiva 0 Posted January 28, 2006 Very interesting, estethicly good acomplished... great angle, alight and contrast... great! Link to comment
BobSandford 0 Posted January 29, 2006 This is heavily weighted on the dark end but it suits the subject. I think the train would stand out better without the long bright metallic object on the wall behind it. Link to comment
excelguru 0 Posted January 29, 2006 That's a flourescent light bank on the back wall. Very nice image. I, too, agree that the darkness suits the subject. Very nice. Link to comment
mark_jordan3 0 Posted January 29, 2006 Thanks for the comments, really appreciated. At the time I did contemplate a lower camera angle to hide (most of) the light bank, but wasn't happy with the barrel distortion I was starting to pick up at 17mm. I guess I could try to take it out along with some of the clutter in PS to further isolate the engine...but in reality it's an active shop and that, to me, has an aesthetic of its own. Thanks again for looking, Mark Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted January 22, 2007 I have to say that I am not really a train man but not only does this train look great, it is also an excellent photo. And it particularly works well in Black and White. Well done. Link to comment
