johne37179 29 Posted January 27, 2006 Willy, it has been a while. Great to see your work again. This has an other world appearance to it. Great job. John Link to comment
mike ortega 0 Posted January 27, 2006 I am not sure how you went about this shot... As a photographer I first analize it, then let it try to hold it's own on many levels. Which is what leads me to enjoy it in a different perspective. I see alot of fine art photography that falls short of being able to hold its own but this one has a quality that if you were to analize this picture for it's graphic and esthetic qualities should eventually see that it is modern fine art. Look at paintings by the cubists and and post cubists and then movie like I robot. Suspension is hard to achieve that can stand for centuries, this does that. Link to comment
willy.marthinussen 0 Posted January 27, 2006 thanks John..great to be back online:) glad you like the photo..and to you Mike: Art can be defined in many ways..i always shoot what i feel is something ordinary that i can show in an somewhat extraordinary way..this is no manipulation in any form just plain shot in studio light of an ordinary subject but that we mostly take for granted:) im glad you liked it,thanks --willy-- Link to comment
elly1664876496 0 Posted January 30, 2006 I agree with the others - you've been missed :) Now to this image... what I love is the colouring. To me you seem to ahve captured liquid chrome or something similar. You've created real depth with your lighting - I feel like I could almost reach out and catch it! All the best, El Link to comment
