mmmee 0 Posted January 26, 2006 I think it still looks much the same now. Good documentary. Could be a tad sharper perhaps. I like the lines of the road leading my eye to the back of the frame. That adds depth and interest to the shot. Link to comment
smhickel 0 Posted January 26, 2006 Thanks! I take it you have been to this spot? Sharpness is illusory. This negative and the rest of my 1969 save one or two were not properly stored and are ripe with little white spots and scratches that takes me some time to clean up and in many cases I have to use a filter to eliminate them or spend a week cleaning them up. The above is non-filtered but I did not use my unsharp or my sharp mask for that matter on it. It is an immense project, the dam that is. Awesome site. Steve Link to comment
mmmee 0 Posted January 27, 2006 Sounds like cleaning up your old negs is an immense project too. Yup could use some USM or maybe even more sharpening. I have been past this spot and wish that we had gone down here closer to the dam. This is down off the highway near the lake? When we were past here about 20 years ago I could see trucks and digging machines working. People boating on the lake. I wanted to go down closer but we did not have time. Did you get a tour through the dam? Link to comment
smhickel 0 Posted January 28, 2006 Yes I remember the stoney hallways and stairs and a few dribbles of water hear and there. Turbines too! Link to comment
