very interesting building and scene, not sure about the wide variation in light between ground and sky. seems a little strange to me, but maybe that is the point?

This is truly wonderful.

To me this image just reaks of so many complex emotions.

Firstly, the composition is sublime, i would in situations like this question whether the eye would be too torn between various portions of the image, however i think in this instance such a conflict just allows the eye to indulge in what is a visionary treat.

The colours are perfect, not just apt, not just acceptable, but perfect. Muted, understated, cold, intriguing.

Why to me this image works so extremely well is because its origin is hard to determine, the alien sky, unfamilier architecture seems almost a contradiction to the cemetry before it.

This really does remind me of some kind of alien culture.

A superb work, you need to pat ourself on the back with this one.

Extremely well framed. What an amazing angle and subject! Great light too ! As for the coloring and the grain, well, they are perhaps not necessary, but they are kind of nice too. Very good.

grant you that this breathtaking piece of architecture as a photographic

subject could do well without any color manipulation. However, my intention was to

give it a twist in mood very much like Bayard has perceived it. Thanks again

where is this amazing looking building my guess is Iceland.

Scott, thanks very much for stopping by. Your guess is absolutely correct. The cathedral is found in Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland.
