timbowles 0 Posted January 24, 2006 Thoughts anyone? I know sunset shots are tough.... Link to comment
gb3 6 Posted January 24, 2006 Tim - You have some good things happening here. I like how you included the building as a silhouette, and the clouds near the setting sun are nice. Colors are also pleasing. Looks like you also had some people in the shot on the lower right that just weren't illuminated, which is a shame. I think if the building (or is it a ship?) had some lights on in the windows that it might be even a stronger photo. Till next sunset -GB Link to comment
doug bowles 0 Posted January 24, 2006 Not just your "typical" sunset photo, but I have to say I don't really like what's going on in the foreground. This picture would have been much better without the "souvenir trailer" or whatever it is blocking the bottom of the windmills. Link to comment
timbowles 0 Posted January 25, 2006 Thanks guys- I agree with Doug- the bus-type thing in the foreground is not ideal, but it also wasn't mobile. I think from the comments that this shot looks better on my screen, (set up through Photoshop 5.5) because the foreground is too dark to even really see the bus, and the people are less of a distraction. I've been told my screen looks dark by others, but I've calibrated it twice to the same effect- I gotta figure this thing out.... Link to comment
