george_crawford 0 Posted January 31, 2006 toning of mono seems a bit flat, a little burning of the feild would help bring out your subject. also the child needs a touch of sharpening. very good composition Link to comment

jasonwilliamsphotography 0 Posted April 25, 2006 Nice shot, nice tones, you may even try an off center composition to add even more interest in this shot. Great DOF. Excellent shot. Link to comment
dusty2004 0 Posted June 27, 2006 Hi Ger, Read your comment about what makes a good photo. I have added my comment to the post. This comes close to being a great shot. As mentioned above, don't place your subject in the middle . It creates a static image. Think about appropiate clothing for the occasion. Being in a wheat field ? a flowing dress with a straw hat may have been more appealing. Let children be children. And don't worry about ratings. I used to get lousy ratings in my youngers days. I did what I do best. My own thing, I suggest that you do the same. Go where your heart takes you. Gain knowledge and skill, apply these and in time you too will score high rating for your children. And you know what, by that time you will realise that ratings don't matter anymore. I wish you all the best and only too happy to assist you. Cheers. Link to comment
