brandon_scott 0 Posted December 27, 2001 Let me know what you think. I don't like that I cut off the paws of the left cheetah. What comments do you have. Thanks. Link to comment
steven b epstein 0 Posted December 27, 2001 What a fantastic shot. I really like the poses - they seem so calm, here; no teeth, furled collars, nor hairs on end. The colors are right on, too. What a sharp lens - I played with the 70-200 2.8L last weekend - it was a bit short for me for the zoo; it works for shots like this, but I want to really get in there - without being eaten. I, too, shot these cats in 1998. Maybe we'll see you at the Zoo! Link to comment
rajat_kirtania 0 Posted December 27, 2001 the poses, if you'd allow me to put it that way are very good . only, this type of photograph one encounters too many a times...so a part of the magic is lost. no, i don't seem to mind the missing paws...but the background bothers me, either it should be blurred or sharp...slightly blurred background bothers me a bit... paulfisher 0 Posted December 27, 2001 Yes this is a great shot - almost a classic! I don't mind the background, although the species of tree don't look particularly African. The pawectomy is unfortunate but very minor, and would pass un-noticed by all but photo-netters! Link to comment
jwedehase 0 Posted December 27, 2001 I like to spend a lot of time at the local zoo, and encounter this kind of thing often. It sure was nice of the cheetahs to pose for you, wasn't it? I find lots of animals aren't really into that. On the critique side, I'd hope for a little more sharpness in the cats, but that could be a function of the scan, possibly. I've lately started manual focusing, not trusting the AF to be as good as I used to trust. Good color. I'd photoshop out that little anomoly on the far right. Link to comment
