mcgarity 0 Posted January 20, 2006 I think you could have used a little more fill light on the face. But even so its a lovely image. I like the way she is posed. The color scheme is also nice. The black dress against the dark background offset with her hair and splashes of color are a pleasing combination. Very nice work. Are you branching out in new directions? I think this is the first non nude I have seen from you. Link to comment
ellenova 0 Posted January 20, 2006 Thanks for the comment to my work, an estimation and remarks. I am the photographer who specializes in fashon, beauty and art. My portfolio has various styles of a photo and nude only one of them Link to comment

mcgarity 0 Posted January 21, 2006 Please forgive me Elena. I got you confused with someone else. I have no excuse really other than an aging memory which never was very good with names to begin with. Link to comment
mrstubbs 0 Posted January 21, 2006 A very distinctive image. Lovely portrait. Congratulations. I'd like to see a little shading on the left edge of frame. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted January 21, 2006 Very beautifull. I like the lighting, pose, composition and the selection of the model for this particular set-up, well thought through. A comparison with the old-masters of light is on it's place here. Tell me, was it a flash on the left and a reflector to her right that made this light work so well? And did you use paper or cloth or just a dark wall for the background? I would like to know cause I've got alot to learn about lighting a subject as well as you did. Great work! Kindest regards Marco. Link to comment
cappoldt 0 Posted January 21, 2006 I echo Marco's question, and too want to compliment you on your entire body of work here. Really great photography, Elena. Link to comment
ellenova 0 Posted January 21, 2006 I have black background. I use 2 flashlights. Softbox for background and a umbrella for illumination of a model. Also I apply softfilter. Link to comment
toddk1 0 Posted January 21, 2006 This is a stunning portrait. In an age of editorial "anything goes" type photography, you have created a beautiful image where every detail is right on the money. The lighting, posing, clothes, expression...all perfect. Very impressive. Link to comment
doc poz 0 Posted January 23, 2006 the lifted leg and the ruffle in her dress, this whole shot is working! Nice Job Elena Bravo!! Paul Link to comment
jkilgo 0 Posted September 1, 2011 The lighting here is quite good...I really like the 45 degree portrait effect....very elegant...perfect ratio. This is a wonderful capture....it has a nice commercial appeal and I think would present well in any popular fashion magazine. Nicely captured. Link to comment
