Phil_Light 795 Posted March 17, 2006 This image stands on its own without the super-saturated sky. Really interesting landscape for a background too. With such exotic and unusual subjects you need to be very careful in containing the highlights within about a four stop range with the shadows. I trust a polarizer gave you the sky color as well as a turn-it-up approach after the scan? If you look at your middle background the Whites have lost all detail. Because this is a transparency original, I don't know if you've got them in the image or whether or not you could reign them in for the web? Anyway with such gorgeous subject material you owe it to bring in the best image you can from the original. This image is stunning even as it is. Link to comment
