Funny, I've lived in California for nearly 15 years but just made it

to the Grand Canyon. Amazing place. Hope I did it justice here.

Nice point of view an nice sky. But the light is rather harsh. I suppose this picture was taken around midday?

The shot was taken at about 11:30am. Had the wife and kids along, coming back from our holiday pilgrimage to the grandparents' houses.

 

Agreed, the shadows are pretty harsh.
