Well done: good theme fit and good execution. I do wonder how it would look by revealing a very small amount of detail in the black areas, or would that end up detracting from the very good overall effect you have accomplished? Thanks for posting.

I haven't commented much on photos for this assignment. I have not been able to think of an idea that I have really liked, and this makes it hard to judge other's work.

This is one of those photographs that I wish I had taken. This is a great interpretation of the theme and easily the best of the bunch.

I wouldn't change a thing.

Well done! Only suggestion might be to put the lamp a little closer to the book. Or maybe not :) Good idea, well executed.

I don't understand the theme so can't really comment on a match, save to say I appreciate the absence of a closed eye.

I do like the tone of this image, and appreciate that you've taken considerable thought and effort to reveal what the theme means to you - well done, PT.

Nice job PT.

I'm wondering if you might have experimented with a top over view? Give the viewer the feeling he/she is in the pic.

Overall. I would not change a thing with this wonderful take on the theme.

Bravo!

It is a great photo, but I second Seven I have been trying to figure out what does it mean the assignement. So far this image IMO points in the oposite direction: it is an eye that sees very well by using the torch.

Great concept, really enjoyable composition. I like the use of all that black. Only nits would be a little more shadow detail on the hand, slightly muted highlights on the book, and more sharpness in the book and hand.
