laura_van_sant 0 Posted December 24, 2001 Interesting, but what in the world are those things? Link to comment
zodina 0 Posted December 30, 2001 Considering I have given this picture a low rating I guess i should also leave a comment aswell explaining why. I just feel that the cut and paste job on this is too evident. The background picture used is of a less pixel quality and i can also see a black outline on the foreground in some areas. Whilst the strong and almost hypnotic pattern on the left shell is very interesting i feel it only serves to unbalance the whole composition. This is just what i feel and i am only a newbie to photography and photoshop. I too have taken some shell pictures lately and mine turned out terrible :o) Link to comment
the the 0 Posted December 30, 2001 I don't really like this image because of the lighting...it doesn't match up very well. I don't really think it looks very good this way. Link to comment
warren_baird 0 Posted January 1, 2002 I really like the idea, but the execution leaves a lot of be desired... I think the main problem I have with it is that the lighting on the shells is so completely *not* what you'd get if they were near a sunset... I think that is what makes it so obviously a cut-n-paste job... If you tone down the lighting on the shells, and warm it up a little, it will help, but the highlights on the shells are obviously coming from a bright light in front of them, and that'd be hard to hide... Good luck! Link to comment
