Window in the "Church on the mountain"

Such a lonely little window - seems a sin of some sort (to my mind) to block it off with a cross of iron: was it to cast a symbolic shadow? To keep evil out? To keep righteousness in?

The composition is a bit unbalanced but maybe this is why it is so charming. The light is nice also.

Simplicity often is the best! Your image illustrated this in a very convincing way.

 

Your very good capture of the light, with the delicate colors and color tones, makes an image not just interesting, but outright beautiful.

Perhaps a slight cropping of the left side of the image, making the window a bit more to the left, would have improved it even further.

But as it is, very good.
