steven b epstein 0 Posted December 24, 2001 I really like the mild color saturation in this photo. I think it is too often the case to over-saturate when we have such a colorful composition. When I visited Moscow I was amazed how similar the people and places seemed to my own country. I had always been taught that the Russians were nothing like me and my friends. This shot could have been taken at the park down my street, with kids from the neighborhood. Great composition. Link to comment
hendrix_bazin 0 Posted January 9, 2002 I love this picture but I remember (a couple of year ago) that the slides where REALLY FUN but nobody is smiling on the picture :-( maybe you could try fliping the picture so the viewer would read it from left to right? What do you think? I think it would help the composition. The colors are great!!! And I like the repetition of the 3 red jackets! Nice job Link to comment
hatless 0 Posted August 4, 2002 Come on, they're Russian! Russians don't smile unless they are very happy. They're happy and having fun here, but not the amount of fun necessary for a smile. After all, it is autumn, and soon it will be winter in Moscow. It is a melancholy time; they are having a good time now, but they are thinking about how in a few weeks they will be wearing two sweaters, a heavy coat, thick gloves, a fur hat that's a little too tight, and big, heavy boots. ;)Good picture; it has great light and a good sense of place. I can feel the crisp air and the leaves on the ground, and the background is pleasantly out of focus, but still clear enough to convey the location--good choices made here. Link to comment
vadim tkachev 0 Posted August 4, 2002 Steve, thanky you very much for your comment. Your comment contained the amount of fun necessary for a smile. I'm in high feather now. Link to comment
