DJ Joeski 1

JOESKI was the star DJ of UNITÉ, I had the permission to take some shots of him on the center stage. All the shots I took there had to be taken while the music would have a low base output, something that DJ's could control through a dial for special effect. I had to do this, else my tripod would vibrate like nothing I ever saw before. Understandable (I guess) since the stage was set on hollow wood cases. This was my third rave shoot and I always had problems with sound vibration, but it has NEVER been this bad. Some slight color curve correction was used.

I'm trying to build a portfolio for rave pictures. I've just uploaded a few shots of DJ's I took at various events this weekend and I believe this one is the best of the lot (very difficult conditions). Please look at the rest of the DJ portfolio if you can and pick out the one(s) that do it the most for you or just tell me if I'm just waisting my time. Any constructive comments, good and bad, will be appreciated.

This time I'm asking people to see if this one works for them. I toyed alot with the color curve and this is pretty much the best I could do, but I'm not sure if the pictures is still okay, it's one of those deals where you'r not sure if the picture is actually better off now. I personnaly prefer this color contrast scheme, but I may have went a bit too far. I'm just wondering if people will see this picture as as astheticly good one or as a miriad of problems. For instance, I like how JOESKI looks, but for some he might be too dark.

I think the colors are great and no I dont think you over did it... Its rave so I expect all the color... The only thing that distracts for me is the darkness on the left side.. My eyes keep wandering there... Cool Pic though , I will check out rest of them...

nice colors, and a good shot of joeski, but you have yet to capture what the 'rave' is all about - you're probably going to find that in the audience, not in the dj booth though.

Kewl... you're definately getting this thing nailed. This is just damn solid.

This shot needs to be cropped a little across the top and left side.

Hmm, been cool if you could have stepped back a few feet, panned a bit more right and captured more of the crowd along with DJ-J, but this shot works just as well.
