markboyer 0 Posted January 12, 2006 Another eerily beautiful shot. The bird and the shack work well for contrast and to provide a subtle diagonal against the horizontality of the scene. Link to comment
kbridgman 0 Posted January 12, 2006 I love this effect...you've got to tell me how you do this! Link to comment
db1664878771 0 Posted January 12, 2006 I have to confess, a lot of this was just dumb luck. The light of the day, the rainy weather and a touch of post processing in Photoshop rounded out whatever success this image has. I took a string of images at various shutter speeds and this one was the best of the lot. I cropped it to a square format, adjusted the levels histogram just a touch [too much REALLY brought out the noise and grain] to bring out some of the details in the trees, laid a blurred, translucent layer on top to about 20% opacity [give or take], colorized it in sepia-tone, framed it and called it done. will king 0 Posted January 13, 2006 Don, excellent. Man, I realy like what you have done here, whether it was "dumb luck" or a skillfull eye. It's superbly balanced with the cottage on the lower right and the bird on the top left. The fog really adds a very moody element. Very good shot. Link to comment
alejandrokeller 0 Posted January 13, 2006 I usually dont fall for animal images... unless, of course, they are as special as this one. Great work, I love it. Link to comment
