Great shot. I like how the texture in the hat brings your eye to the main focus of her face as well as the lines of the painting. Just super lighting. This shot deserves to be on a magazine cover somewhere.

I love this shot. There is so much going on - the hands, the intense stare, the blemishes, the incongruity of the the girl's expression with her age.

Carina, the hands, the eyes, the hair, the hat, the background - all are very very good, put into a straight forward frame and delivered to the pleasure of our admiration. Congratulations ! I can ensure you that I will be regularly back.

I normally do not particularly care for this type of pose and angle. However, this photo has a paint-type quality to it. Her porcelain complexion and compelling gaze makes this a truly beautiful composition. The eye color does not adequately come through on the smaller display. In my humble opinion, this would make an excellent print.

Cute picture but the outline of the girl's face appears to have numerous touch up artifacts and the strange (lightbox?) reflections in the eyes just don't cut it for me. (march 21 update: but I would go one step further and state that this portfolio is perhaps a good step for this girl's future career as a model?)

touch up artifacts? i dont know what you mean John .. this photo was done in the morning with natural sunlight no light box , all my photos are done with natural light :))

Hence my question mark. The reflection could also be a window. It looks strange.

 

John is right that there is a "strange reflection" in her eyes (two windows ?) but it is part of the charm of the eyes that gives content to her look. Don't change anything or you would get just yet another small beautiful girl and not also a beautiful photo .

 

As concerns the "numerous touch up artifacts" I don't see any - or I don't know what John means by the term.
