a. a. 1 Posted January 10, 2006 This is really nice. Great choice of lens. I bet the details in the print is even better than here. Makes me want to travel there. Difficult exposure setting. How was Bjork?! :) Cheers Misha Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted January 14, 2006 Hello Nick, I like the subject, but this time I'm not sure about the angle at which it was taken and the need for the sun in the frame. What I am sure about, is how beautiful the sunlight touching the snow looks. Was there some reason you didn't go further to the right so that you could get more of the lit snow and less of the bright sky? By the way, my family and I will be going to Chester for a weekend in February. I'm feeling quite excited. Pete Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted January 17, 2006 Impressive and uncompromising landscape. Using the Portra film seems to have allowed a ood wide latitude. In my film using days I liked Fuji NPS 160 which was designed for fashion and wedding. But I found it had a nice natural colour which I preferred to Velvia. Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted January 24, 2006 Interestingly Misha, Bjork actually played a concert in this volcanic implosion crater about 15 years ago, suspended on a raft - she is deliciously nuts! Colin, I agree with you about Velvia! Pete, you are quite right, and on reflection, I really don't like this one at all! - I have one not disimilar to what you describe, and I shall upload it soon! Regards, Nick. Link to comment
bens 0 Posted January 26, 2006 i prefer the composition of this to the one posted immediatelay after, but the coloring of the other. having the hole on a diagonal a bit helps. Link to comment
