Down the rabbit hole

This frost pattern reminds me of some fanciful, Alice in Wonderland -

style rabbit warren. Then again I am the one who shot the photo...

 

What do you think? Could I improve it somehow? Please rate/critique

so I can shoot it again before it melts... :)

since i live in a hot country i can't figure out exactly what i'm seeing here , sure it looks like an oil painting of a mountain pick . is it a window glass with frost on the outside or vapor painting on the inside ? anyway it is beautiful and interesting .

It does have qualities that remind me of a painting... more contrast would bring out detail in the frozen patterns, but then again that might ruin the subtle effect you have achieved. Isn't mother nature full of wonderful suprises?!

I agree with the last comment about the contrast. The photo looks a little washed out...upping the contrast might help a bit.

Thanks for your commentary. I did attempt to increase contrast but I found that I was losing the pastel continuity of colour that I wanted. I may give it another go down the road(when it forms again :( - it melted ). Merry Christmas!

Phil, you have something here with your ice photos... They are amazing...an art within an art. I love them very much and think you could do a wonderful series of these and do a show or something! Or a book! Do you realize how good they are?
