mmmee 0 Posted January 17, 2006 Very moody expression. The shadows add to the mood. Now what, I wonder, is he contemplating? I wonder if it might be better without the white thing in the background on the left? I like the light on this, used with that pose and the expression. But is it candid? or posed? Link to comment
cyrus khamak 0 Posted January 26, 2006 hello Maggie, He is my Nephew, Danial. I took quite a few images last summer in less than 5 minutes time as he was constantly and rapidly changing expressions. he is very good at it. I have loaded two and maybe upload more. About the light in the background, it has it's pluses and it has it's minuses. I'm glad it's not brighter than it is. It helps define the chin a little better and the diagonal shadow it creates, helps put the image in a context, I think. On the minus side, it's there and it could creat a distraction. I'm glad it,s not brighter than it is. Thanks for the good comment. Cheers. Link to comment
kurt2006 0 Posted December 11, 2006 Cyrus K, I really enjoy your portfolio. Your portraits are excellent, especially this one. This sort of cropping combined with the color tone and excellend DOF work great together. Your nephew must have been fun to work with if he can change facial expressions so easily. Cheers. cyrus khamak 0 Posted December 12, 2006 the kind comment. He is actually very good at it and has been featured in a couple of Swedish magazines, only if he gets his mind on the ball! Kind regards. Link to comment

Best wishes to you and to your nephew. Don't make it easy for him to sit on his hands :) Link to comment
