Does anybody know what the red flaring in the corner near the tree? It has something to do with the camera as it appears in all exposures over 3 minutes long!!

I'm impressed with the image, I've never seen so many stars before, except through a light magnification scope. To answer your question to what is the light in the tree. It's just that, it is picking up reflected light. If you had it open any longer the light frequency would have changed to more a blue colour.

Thank you all for the feed back, I glad theres nothing wrong with my camera!

 

To take the photo I had my camera "Piggy Backed" on my telescope which was polar aligned to the South Celestrial Pole. One clock motor was used to track the stars.
