AWWW! Beautiful, high-key capture. The only thing I wish was a bit different is to see more of Shelby's face. The ball at the end of the hat obscures her profile just a little too much. Well done!

Elaine- This so sweet. I love hi-key images. They are not as easy to accomplish as many assume.

I love the composition and the capture of the moment. Beautiful!

I have just a few suggestions. Here's what I see. All could be correcteed by lowering the background lights a little & increasing the foreground lights a tad. But also it can be corrected in PS. Here's my opinion. The bear's hat ball & the Shelby's hat brim melt into the background a little too much, Shelby's left arm is too much in contrast & the base shadow feels a little heavy. All of these are easily corrected in PS. I hope you don't mind, I needed the practice and this is truly adorable! Nice capture!

This is what I would do, everyone has an opinion, you can take it or leave it. Hope you don't mind.

Thanks for your help. I am fairly new to studio pictures I have done natural light for years. Thanks for the lighting tips I will try that, my pictures always seem to be a little blown out. I like the corrections you made and I LOVE your Color tinted pictures in your portfolio. Hope your hand is healing well and that you will be back in full swing soon! Hope to see more critiques from you in the future.

Thanks for your time Elaine

Elaine- Hi-key white background has been a real fascination of mine for some time. Adjusting the lights is the hard part. I usually take a few images, take them to the computer and look to see iif the lights are right. I also use a light meter, but they always need positional adjustment. I love having my background lights on a pole, so they don't get into the way with kids.

Hi-key looks easy, but one of my photography instructors said it is the hardest to accomplish correctly. I believe her.
