Welsh corgis are bred for herding cattle. Zilla's first instinct in

dealing with a tennis ball was to chase it down, stop it, and beam

back at me with a big look-what-I-accomplished smile. She's a smart

dog, though, and she learned pretty quickly that if she wanted to

chase the ball again, she would do well to bring the ball back.

The result is that she is now a better retriever than some retrievers

(golden or lab) I've met, with the added benefit that she often tires

of retrieving around the same time that I do. Corgi fans can find more

photos in my "Zilla" folder. Thanks are due to my wife, who served as

tennis ball wrangler for this photo shoot.

I am seriously impressed with this photo. Its extremely well done. The subject, the color, the moment. You got it all. One of my coworkers is too. She asked that I tell you its a great picture. On her behalf (and mine too) its a great picture.
