dem_photos 0 Posted January 9, 2006 Welsh corgis are bred for herding cattle. Zilla's first instinct in dealing with a tennis ball was to chase it down, stop it, and beam back at me with a big look-what-I-accomplished smile. She's a smart dog, though, and she learned pretty quickly that if she wanted to chase the ball again, she would do well to bring the ball back. The result is that she is now a better retriever than some retrievers (golden or lab) I've met, with the added benefit that she often tires of retrieving around the same time that I do.
