jasonschock 0 Posted January 9, 2002 It just looks like a black and white snapshot. I think you could do much better things with this setup using some interaction between your two subjects. Link to comment
richard_goodman1 0 Posted January 9, 2002 These two faces are arresting faces, and they make me feel as though I am being confronted by a slice of real life,as though I have interrupted a private conversation. I am not sure, however, what I am supposed to feel about these two people. When I looked at them, I thought immediately of the movie "Clockwork Orange." Probably that was because of the hat the fellow is wearing. I also had a compositional problem -- and maybe I have been staring at photos for too long at one sitting and just need to go for a walk before returning to more. If you look at the man's left sleeve (on the right as we look at him), there is a line that follows up and takes you into the background, seemingly continued by a line delineating the side of a hump of lawn or field. If I were to suggest how to improve the photo it would be to go into it in Photoshop and either soften or eliminate the line that forms the edge of that hump of grass. On the other hand, I have been looking at photos for such a long stretch tonight that perhaps my critical faculties are going goofy. Link to comment
