stephen hazelton 3 Posted January 5, 2006 You can photograph a painting or another photograph and you don't have much- just a copy of someone else's work. But catch someone walking past a mural, and it's your own shot, then. Here, you're pretty close to just copying a text. I think you could improve the shot quite a bit by having a hand or fingers scanning the text, or showing a person reading it or holding it- something to make it more of your own picture instead of a copy of a book. I tried laying a pair of glasses on one- works pretty well (I've seen that somewhere else, wasn't original). A pencil, magnifier, pocket watch or similar items would probably work well also. guitarlover 0 Posted January 6, 2006 Thanks Stephen- I did think of keeping a pair of glasses. but could not find one. I will take your suggestions and add something to the book for future picutres. It will certainly add a fresh outlook to this picture. Thanks again. Link to comment
absolute beginner 0 Posted January 11, 2006 NIce idea, but IMHO bad choice of DOF... It would maybe be better with all the letters in focus Link to comment
