forrest_andrew 0 Posted January 4, 2006 sedona is an incredible place. at least all the photos i see of the place make me think so. this photo shows the viewer what a typical view might look like, but photographically i find it lacking a focus. what exactly did you want to depict. in particular, i find the empty foreground a bit plain. with those funky yucca (?) plants around, i think a carefully placed plant would do wonders for the foreground. perhaps it would be better off said that i think the elements could have been better organized. they're all there (great sky, rock formation, interesting subjects for foreground), but just not in a way that tells a great story. just my thoughts. hope this makes sense. ankhbonk 0 Posted February 20, 2006 Great color and texture in this photo. While some foreground action would make it more dramatic, there is beauty in the simple, peaceful tranquility of your capture. I have a minor gripe, but it might have to do more w/ your camera than your skill, but the rocks seem a tad oversharpened/fake looking along the ridges. Can't put my finger on it, but it might be from burning the clowds and masking the mountains if you were using photoshop. Regardless, nice work. Link to comment
