very stark depiction of reality for some...wonderfully descriptive

Nice capture of this subject. That bright circle under his nose is a big distraction. A tighter crop and a shallower DOF might bring out the subject more as the bg is a little distracting.

 

Took me awhile to work out that bright circle under his nose is a button!

I agree that this shot may be powerful with a tighter crop...but I like it the way it is here too. Including the background tells more of a story...the people walking on the sidewalk with grocery bags seem oblivious to the man on the bench. If only people would pay more attention to the "little things" we have to be thankful for, then maybe we wouldnt always want MORE MORE MORE. This photograph depicts that tendency quite well. It is a sad portrayal of someone who seems destitute...something that many of us can never imagine as we sit on our computers critiquing each other's work. I love it. I was disappointed that you have so few photos in your portfolio. They are all incredible images and I look forward to more from you Juan! Bravo!
