Toucan Couple

A very dramatic subject. The focus seems soft - intentional? Also, the birds are almost centered in the image (re: the "rule" of thirds...) - also intentional? - and I'm not sure of the purpose of all of the space around them. It is quite distinctive in its own right, and perhaps provides a setting, but visually I find it a bit distracting.

Still, an interesting and pleasing image, worthy of comment and analysis.

The soft Focus is not intentional (my bad) this is due to a lack of tripod when I took the shot. Everything else is intentional.

I feel that this composition allows the Toucan to pop out of the frame.
