pjkolt 0 Posted December 31, 2005 My wife holding our friend's new baby. If you can look deep in the baby's eye and see if you notice anything. Link to comment
lauriee 0 Posted December 31, 2005 Sweet baby! The hair in the mouth distracts me though... Link to comment
kim_ramsey 0 Posted January 4, 2006 ditto. That's what i was going say. The hair near the mouth ruins the image for me. Link to comment
pjkolt 0 Posted January 4, 2006 I appreciate the feedback. As I wrote to Laurie, I didn't even notice the hair. Of course now I don't notice the baby :) This is the type of feedback I am looking for. Thank you all for your time and feedback. Please keep it coming. Link to comment
kim_ramsey 0 Posted January 4, 2006 "My wife holding our friend's new baby. If you can look deep in the baby's eye and see if you notice anything." ummmmm...I hate to insult. So, if this is not what you wanted me to notice...sooo sorry!!! Is the baby missing an eye? or hav no white on one of the eyes? Link to comment
pjkolt 0 Posted January 4, 2006 Kim, I was referring to my wife's reflection in the baby's left eye although you can not make out this detail at the size this picture is presented here. Thank you for your comments. I enjoyed your portfolio. Link to comment
kim_ramsey 0 Posted January 5, 2006 oh my. see, I apologize again. I knew not to try and guess lol. But, do you see what I'm saying about the right eye? no white is showing, no light is in the eye. So, it looks flat and empty. again my apoligies!!! Link to comment
lauriee 0 Posted January 12, 2006 Hi! I did this REALLY quickly in photoshop..(I am late for work again!! LOL) But I wanted you to see the difference without the hair. I also put the light in the babies eye..not sure if that looks alright or not. However I just wanted you to get an idea! :-) Link to comment
pjkolt 0 Posted January 13, 2006 Laurie, Sorry to hear about you being late to work. Happened to me too :) Thanks for the retouch to the photo. I agree it looks much better without the hair. And the light in the eye does add more life to the image. One of things I like about forums like this is the ability to have completely non-biased people provide honest and genuine feedback and critiques. I have been playing around with Corel Painter and I am planning on making this an oil "painting" as well. All the best. And thanks for your time and thoughts. PJ Link to comment
