Taken at the side of a highway in 20degree weather with a 2 mile/hr

wind as you can see from the drift of the plumes. Comments welcome.

This is quite an amazing scene. For my interpretation, it really shows coal-fired power plants for the nasty mennace that they are, re: global warming.

I like how the attention is brought to the pollution . This is a hot topic and a beautiful way to portray it without trivializing it. Great composition!

This is not a coal power plant. The Limerick Nuclear Power Plant is located in Pennsylvania and has two nuclear reactors. Everything is completely contained and "smoke" you see coming out of the cooling towers is steam produced from cooling water being poured over pipes full of hot water that keep the reactor controlled. There is no pollution here and if anything, the efficiency of nuclear power plants takes the load off of coal and natural gas plants that are more harmful to the enviroment.

Now you know.

Actually, the light was from all the sodium exterior lights on and around the buildings below the cooling towers. That was a long-winded... yes.

So it's nuclear instead of coal. Thanks for clarifying that. Your comment that nuclear power has no pollution is interesting. How would you classify nuclear waste, if not a form of pollution? Is Chernobyl and its surrounding areas "polluted", or is there some other description?
